Description
Le mâle est brun sur le dos. Les flancs sont jaune-doré. Leur partie inférieure montre une large bande longitudinale brun-rouge, de la naissance des pectorales jusqu’au début de la caudale. Assez fine à sa naissance, elle s’élargit au fur et à mesure qu’on se dirige vers la caudale. Dans le tiers postérieur du corps, cette bande rougeâtre est recouverte par 7-8 bandes verticales de même couleur qui rejoignent la partie dorsale. Des lignes de points jaune-doré séparent ces bandes transversales.
La dorsale et la partie supérieure de la caudale présentent une teinte de fond brunâtre avec de nombreux points jaune-doré.
L’anale et la partie inférieure de la caudale sont brunâtres et maculées de points bleu-argenté.
Pectorales orange vif. Ventrales jaunâtres.
Les bords externes des nageoires anale et ventrales sont foncés.
La femelle est semblable au mâle mais en moins brillant. Les points clairs sont néanmoins manquants.
Il s’agirait d’une espèce relique.
La dorsale et la partie supérieure de la caudale présentent une teinte de fond brunâtre avec de nombreux points jaune-doré.
L’anale et la partie inférieure de la caudale sont brunâtres et maculées de points bleu-argenté.
Pectorales orange vif. Ventrales jaunâtres.
Les bords externes des nageoires anale et ventrales sont foncés.
La femelle est semblable au mâle mais en moins brillant. Les points clairs sont néanmoins manquants.
Il s’agirait d’une espèce relique.
Maintenance et élevage
Reproduction : Le maintien et l’élevage sont très difficiles.
Origine géographique
Elle fut découverte par P. WAGNER et R. WINDEL, l’année passée au point de pêche N° 20, un ruisseau à 6 km de Bibasse sur la route nationale N° 2 d’ Oyem à Mitzic dans le nord du Gabon, système hydrographique du Woleu-Rio Benito.
Ecologie : Elle fut trouvée en compagnie de Aphyosemion cameronense à la Terra Typica et en compagnie de Aphyosemion bochtleri dans un autre biotope, +/- 15 km au sud-ouest de la terra typica.
